Tasting notes

The wine has a bright intense nose of raspberries, maraschino cherries and a slight hint of oak,

earth and cloves. On the palate the wine over delivers with well-structured, concentrated and a

generous mouthfeel. Flavours of cherry, plum, aniseed and earth. The wine finishes with a balanced

and

pleasant tannin structure.

Winemaking

Made from a blend of Pinot Noir from two blocks from two different vineyards. MV6 clones from

Glengarry Vineyard and 114 and 115 Clones from The Robigana home block. The MV6 was fermented in

the same style as the little shiny pinot but kept as a separate parcel. The Robigana section was

inculcated with a ped cuvee of fruit taken from the Robigana vineyard before harvest. Carbonic

macerated for 7 days then pressed of and full solids to oak, where it finished fermentation and

matured in old and new French oak for 11 months. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation occurred in

the spring. Racked to tank, blended and bottled. Lightly fined and filtered.
